CCTVnet is a comprehensive integrated security solution for network-based CCTV (closed circuit TV), access control and security systems with emphasis on observation and intervention. The familiar analogue video and audio matrix solutions are replaced by modern network technology providing a flexible virtual matrix. Now it is possible to make all security-relevant information accessible everywhere, independent of their geographical origin.
The CCTVnet suite consists of multiple applications:
The most important applications are described briefly below.
The PDE is used by system integrators to configure a CCTVnet system. The configuration is created in a hosted web-application that runs in a private cloud:
The editor also supports "graphical" editing of the UI layout:
The PDE is based on Eclipse RAP.

It is a multi-monitor application that shows all relevant information in an intuitive and simple manner. It displays video streams, integrates bi-directional audio, workflows, floorplans, etc. An example main screen (on main monitor) could look as following (but the whole layout is configurable):
The following graphic shows an example video monitor:
The workplace is based on Eclipse RCP.

The ROC is also based on Eclipse RAP.

Download roc.avi (225MB)The configuration server is the central place to manage all configurations. It pushes all changes of the active configuration to all running components. It is based on Eclipse Equinox.
The site server contains the business logic of the security system, i.e., monitoring of all devices, notification of internal and external clients, delegation of work etc. It is based on Eclipse Equinox and supports different extension points to be able to integrate new hardware or external systems.
Besides the technologies mentioned above we use additional projects from Eclipse:
Eclipse IDE with JDT/PDE (of course)
EMF for configurations and workflows
EGit for version control
Buckminster/Hudson to build and test all applications
